Itinerary 12 day Kenya Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi Kenya.
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our company representative and transferred to your place of overnight stay at the start of the 12 Day Kenya Wildlife Safari. Accommodation at Fairmont The Norfolk.
Day 2: Nairobi to OlPejeta Conservancy.
Set off for Nanyuki with a brief stop at the equator line for photos and proceed to Ol Pejeta Ranch Conservancy situated between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares. You will arrive in time for lunch and in the afternoon visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary by boat ride. The sanctuary is a Jane Goodall Institute and Kenyan Wildlife Services Project. The Sanctuary provides a permanent refuge for about 40 chimpanzees. Alternatively, you may visit the Rhino Information Center. Accommodation and Meals at the Kicheche Laikipia Camp
Day 3: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Lake Nakuru
After your breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in time for check-in and lunch at the lodge before having an evening game drive. Lake Nakuru is a world-famous bird (over 400 bird species) and rhino sanctuary where thousands of flamingos congregate to feed on Spirulina platensis. Look out for the Black and White Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Waterbuck, Buffalo, Colobus monkey, and Baboons. Accommodation and Meals at Mbweha Camp
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
After breakfast, check out heading to Masai Mara through the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for lunch at camp. The Mara offers abundant wildlife varieties, over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. After lunch, head out for the evening game drive looking out for the Lions, Rhino, Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffes, Wildebeest, Zebra, Buffalo, Warthog, Hyenas, Jackal, Wild dogs, Leopards, Elephants among others.
The most spectacular annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras occurs between July and early September, as these majestic animals journey from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of water and fresh pasture. This dramatic event, known as the Great Migration, involves perilous river crossings, where predators like crocodiles and lions lie in wait, adding to the excitement and intensity of this natural spectacle. After this unparalleled opportunity to witness one of nature’s most awe-inspiring events, head back to the camp for relaxation.

Day 5: Game Safaris in Masai Mara
This day will be dedicated to tracking the iconic Big Five and other captivating wildlife. Your adventure includes a picturesque picnic lunch near the serene Mara River, providing the perfect backdrop to your midday break. Afterward, continue your thrilling afternoon game drive, exploring more of the diverse landscapes and spotting additional wildlife before returning to the camp, enriched by the day’s discoveries at the end of this 12 Day Kenya Wildlife Safari.

Day 6: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha
After an early morning game drive, depart the Mara heading to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus arriving in time for lunch and relaxation. You may take a nature walk close to the lodge with opportunities to see many bird species found in this area, Roth’s child Giraffe, and monkeys among others. This lake is also a birdwatcher’s fantasy with over 450 species such as pelicans, herons, storks, and kingfishers

Day 7: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park.
You’ll set off for Amboseli National Park, arriving in time to check in and enjoy a delicious lunch at the Lodge. In the evening, embark on an exhilarating game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot iconic African wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and hippos, among others. Alternatively, immerse yourself in the rich culture of the local Masai community by visiting Muteleu village, where you can learn about their traditional way of life. Afterward, return to your lodge for a well-deserved relaxation.

Day 8: Game Safaris in Amboseli National Park
This day of the 12 Day Kenya Wildlife Safari will be spent on game safaris in the park. Amboseli sits on the lower slopes of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, whose peak lies across the border in Tanzania. Early in the morning, you may view the Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early morning. Amboseli is famed for its huge elephant herds, you will also see buffalos, black rhinos, zebra, wildebeest, and other plains animals and birds. Later head back to the camp. Day 9: Amboseli – Tsavo West
After breakfast depart for the Tsavo West National Park arriving in time for lunch and relaxation. Later take an afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is famed for elephants, lions, hippos, wildebeest, giraffes, crocodiles, vervet monkeys, antelopes, baboons, and giraffes.
Later head to Mzima Springs, the source of Mombasa’s water located in this park. At Mzima, wildlife gathers for a drink, particularly in the dry season. Here, you can observe an impressive gathering of animals, all drawn to the life-sustaining waters.You may also be able to view hippos and crocodiles. Accommodation and Meals at Severin Safari Camp
Day 10: Tsavo West – Tsavo East
Today we will check out from Tsavo West and enjoy a game drive while heading towards Tsavo East National Park. We will arrive in time for lunch, and after relaxing, we’ll go for an afternoon game drive to enjoy the African sunset. During the drive, look out for elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and other wildlife. We will then return to Ashnil Aruba Lodge for accommodation and meals for the overnight stay.
Day 11: Tsavo East – Nairobi
After a relaxed breakfast, check out and head for a morning game drive route exit of Tsavo East National Park. You will proceed back to Nairobi for a drop off at Fairmont The Norfolk for your overnight stay and dinner.
Day 12: Departure
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have a city tour in Nairobi before heading to the airport for your onward flight back home at the end of your 12 Day Kenya Wildlife Safari.
