This 11 days tour will take you to Shaba and Samburu Reserve, onwards to Sweetwaters, Ol Pejeta Conservancy proceeding to Great Rift Valley – Lake Nakuru onwards to the famous Masai Mara.

Tour Highlights of the 11 days Wildlife and Beach Safari.

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by our company representative and thereby transfer to your hotel in Nairobi. Overnight: Accommodation at Nairobi Serena Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Samburu National Reserve.

After breakfast, you will start the 11-day Wildlife and Beach Safari by transferring to the amazing area of Shaba and Samburu. Samburu Reserve is located on the banks of northern Kenya’s biggest river, Ewaso Nyiro. Look out for varied landscapes and pass through the local community villages of the Samburu. Option game drive in the park and look out for Elephants, Leopards, and Lions, among others.  Accommodation and Meals at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.

Day 3: Shaba & Samburu National Reserve

Spend this day on game drives in the Samburu and Buffalo Springs region. You will look out for the Grevy zebra, Somali ostrich, Giraffe, Gerenuk, and Ory, Olive Baboon, Warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, Kirk’s dik-dik, Impala, Waterbuck, and among others, have a picnic lunch in between the game drives. Day 4: Sweetwaters/Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Early morning game drive before breakfast. Then drive south to Sweetwaters/ Ol Pejeta Conservancy which is located west of Nanyuki, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. You will arrive at your accommodation around lunchtime. Your camp offers a wonderful view of the watering hole, so you can get up close and personal with the wildlife sightings. It’s one of the largest black rhino sanctuaries in East Africa. In the afternoon you drive to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and visit these great apes accompanied by a ranger.  Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park/Lake Elementaita

After breakfast, today you drive further south and descend to Great Rift Valley and the soda lake Lake Nakuru.  As you proceed, along the way you can stop at the Thomson Falls and at a viewpoint for beautiful views of the valley.  Thomsons Falls is on a river called Ewaso Ng’iro in Central rift valley Kenya. It is a few kilometers from Ol Bolossat Lake.

Lake Nakuru is one of the Great Rift Valley lakes and is surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland and home to rhinoceroses, cormorants, pelicans, flamingos, and about 450 other bird species. It is now a Rhino Sanctuary you can spot the white and rare black rhino. In the afternoon you will go on a game drive in the park before proceeding to Lake Elementaita, for accommodation and meals at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, drive to the famous Masai Mara situated in south-west Kenya which is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. The Mara is characterized by vast savannah grassland plains, hills, acacia forests, and dense scrub. The Masai Mara connects with the Serengeti in Tanzania and is part of the annual migration from around July to October. During this period, the Mara River is defied with the annual great migration where you get to view millions of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River.  You will have an evening game drive in the park, look out for wildebeest, zebra and gazelle, black-maned lion, big herds of elephant, buffalo, and other plains game. Day 7:  Game Safaris in Masai Mara Game Reserve

This day will be spent in the reserve embarking on two exciting game drives, where you can spot more game like the Lion, Hyena, Cheetah, Buffalo, Black Rhinos, and Leopard. You may also take an optional balloon safari for a unique experience while taking in the varied landscape and wildlife. Accommodation and Meals at Sarova Mara Game Camp

Day 8: Flight from Masai Mara or Nairobi to the South Coast of Mombasa.

On this day, you will take a flight either directly from Masai Mara or head back to Nairobi and take a flight to Mombasa. We recommend the direct flight from Mara to Ukunda airstrip in Mombasa though to save time.  Upon arrival, you will check into your beach hotel on the dazzling coast of Diani Beach.  The beach is famous for its white sand beaches, blue ocean, and (kite)surfing, other activities include snorkeling and diving, and you can relax at the beach or at the swimming pool or take a massage.

Day 9 and 10: Beach stay south coast of Mombasa/Diani Beach.

Included in the Beach Stay are soft drinks, afternoon teas, coffee, and a few selected alcoholic drinks.

Day 11: Departure

After breakfast depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight back to Nairobi onwards back home at the end of the 11-day Wildlife and Beach Safari

Ground transportation in a safari customized 4WD Toyota Land cruiser with gasoline/fuel, Mineral water in the vehicle, services of an English-speaking Driver/guide, Accommodation, Meals, all Park Entrance Fees, Boat rides where applicable, Statutory Taxes where applicable and personal Medical emergency evacuation cover.
