5-day Fly-in Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon reaching Entebbe Airport, you’ll be greeted by a company representative/guide who will escort you to your overnight accommodations.

If your arrival allows, you might have the opportunity to explore the Uganda Wildlife Education Center for an introductory experience to the country’s diverse wildlife. Your stay will be at The Boma Guest House.

Day 2: Flight to Kisoro – Rushaga Sector

Embark on a scenic flight aboard a light aircraft towards the outskirts of Bwindi National Park following a satisfying breakfast at the guest house.

Upon arrival at Kisoro’s landing strip, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a company representative who will escort you through the lush Ugandan landscape, traversing charming farming villages and terraced hillsides en route to the camp.

Upon arrival at the lodge, take some time to relax and recharge, preparing yourself for an exciting day of trekking. Your lodging and meals will be provided at Four Gorillas Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience

In the early morning, you’ll receive a briefing on gorilla tracking at the park headquarters. Alongside a guide and your packed lunch, you’ll set out in a small group to locate the gorillas.

As you trek through the forest, traverse uphill, descend, and ascend slopes, all while maintaining high spirits for your once in a life time experience.

The duration of gorilla tracking typically ranges from 3 to 6 hours, and the journey can be challenging due to muddy trails and rugged terrain.

Spend an hour with these tranquil ‘Gentle Giants’ observing their daily routines of grooming, feeding, and playing is an extraordinary experience.

It’s an unforgettable adventure! Afterwards, return to the trailhead and then proceed to Four Gorillas Lodge for relaxation, where accommodation and meals are provided.

Day 4:  Bwindi National Park – Batwa Community Experience

Take a nature walk and forest hike, learning from the original Forest Keepers – The Batwa, as they share their wisdom. Engage in their traditions of dance, song, and storytelling, and discover their ancient farming techniques, mastery of the bow, honey gathering, and herbal medicine harvesting.

Gain a deep understanding of their lifestyle, from living in grass-thatched houses and caves to perfecting hunting skills for survival. Enjoy accommodation and meals at Four Gorillas Lodge as part of this immersive experience.

Day 5: Flight from Kisoro- Entebbe

Early breakfast and head to Kisoro Airfield for your flight back to Entebbe at 8:45hrs arriving at 11:25hrs. Depending on the time of your departure flight, you may have a refreshment room or check-in for your onward flight back home.
