Tour Itinerary of the 14 day Uganda Cultural Experience
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be picked up by a company representative and transferred to Hotel Lepetit Village for relaxation and an overnight stay at the start of the 14 Uganda Cultural Experience.
Day 2: Ewaffe Cultural Village
Breakfast and then head to Ewaffe Cultural Village, a community-based program that offers an authentic cultural experience of Buganda in the central region of Uganda. Get to learn about the Buganda Culture which includes Music and Dance, Banana Fruit Juice, Backcloth marking, Handcraft Making, the local medicinal garden, Food Preparation of the traditional dishes as well as a self-service buffet of fresh fruits. In the evening, head back to Kampala.

Day 3: Kampala – Sipi falls
After breakfast, head out towards Tororo, with a stopover to observe the Tororo Rock, a prominent rock that rises 300 meters above the surrounding plains. We proceed to Mbale, a charming town at the foot of Mount Elgon.
We will have a lunch stop at Mbale and with beautiful viewpoints on our way we will reach Sipi Village, nestled between mountains and waterfalls.
The hike takes you through the breathtaking route that weaves its way through the three falls, taking in stunning vistas and the everyday life of local farmers and herders. Later descend back and head back to the resort. Accommodation and Meals at Rafiki Lodge Sipi
Day 4: To Kidepo National Park
Today on your 14 Day Uganda Cultural Experience, you will set off for Kidepo Valley National Park passing through Kotido and Kaabong districts. Kidepo is in the northeastern corner of Uganda and has a true calling to the stunning wilderness.
As you proceed you will pass through the mountainous landscape as you drive through the Kotido region to reach Africa’s premier wilderness park with a picnic lunch en route.

Day 5: Mount Morungule – IK community immersion
Breakfast and then head out for a community visit to the Ik people on the top of Morungole Mountain. Get immersed in the cultural experience as the people share their cultural activities.
Here you will spend a wonderful day with the Karamojong people and have an insight into their way of life and beliefs, traditions and norms, how bride price is determined in their culture, and child naming ceremonies.
This is an opportunity to participate in the traditional dances and songs of the indigenous local people as well. Accommodation and Meals at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.
Day 6: Kidepo to Boomu Women’s Group – Village walk
After breakfast set off towards the edge of Murchison Falls Park arriving in time for lunch. Thereafter you will head to the Boomu Women’s Group. Boomu means together and this describes the purpose of the group, working together for our mutual benefit and the benefit of our communities.
This scenic walk takes you through the village, learning about everyday rural life, explaining the community challenges, learning about the crops that are grown in Kigaragara, and a visit to the village blacksmith.
Get to buy some of the local crafts from the women’s group like baskets and woven blankets. Accommodation and meals at Budongo Forest Eco Lodge.
Day 7: To Fortportal – Clarke Farm and Coffee Estate
Early breakfast and then transfer to Fort Portal through the verdant countryside as you pass traditional homesteads and farms. Head out to the Coffee Estate that grows both Arabica and Robusta Coffee.
The Clarke Farm and Coffee Estate runs an out-grower scheme to teach local farmers good agronomy practices and, in turn, help them increase their yields to improve their livelihoods and community.

Day 8: Clarke Farm Activities
After a relaxed breakfast, spend the day partaking in activities on the farm, these include walking and hiking trails (easy, medium, and challenging options), forest and river walks/ jogs with amazing hilltop views, bike trails, coffee tours, coffee tasting, bouldering, bird watching and educational farm tours.
Later in the evening, get some time for meditation or relaxation at the lodge on the 14 Day Uganda Cultural Experience. Accommodation and Meals at Coffee Lodge
Day 9: Fort Portal to Nshenyi Village
After breakfast, transfer to Nshenyi through the beautiful countryside, displaying rich vegetation, landscaped, mountain backdrops, and beautiful groups of people along the highway. Accommodation and Meals at Nshenyi Village Farm
Day 10: Milking Cows, Nature Walk, and Traditional Music Performance
The morning starts early as you will go to the field to milk the long-horned Ankole cows. Return to the farm for breakfast, before we take a short walk to the village of a Bahima tribe and thereafter head for the 45-minute walk to the watering area of the cattle.
In the afternoon you may go for a nature walk to the River Kagera, a natural border with Tanzania. A non-professional local group will entertain you in the evening with traditional dancing and singing. Accommodation and Meals at Nshenyi Village.
Day 11: Nshenyi Village – Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in time for late lunch and relaxation on the 14 Day Uganda Cultural Experience. Accommodation and Meals at Mwebesa House
Day 12: Batwa Experience and Ride 4 a Woman
After breakfast, you will enjoy an incredible day hike in the rain forest with Batwa guides, see how the Batwa lived and hunted, learn about medicinal plants, and watch for animals and birds. You will hear ancient legends and traditional songs, watch energetic dances, and join in on a mock hunting demonstration.
You can even test your skill with a Batwa bow and arrow. Visit one of the traditional homesteads to learn more about their way of life. Later, returned to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, visit Ride 4 a Woman, a locally founded women’s empowerment initiative, that offers you a truly authentic East African cultural experience.
Join the women and learn to weave baskets, cook local dishes, and watch the women of the community showcase their culture through traditional dance — or even better, you can learn to dance with them. Accommodation and meals at Mwebesa House.
Day 13: Bwindi Forest – Igongo Cultural Center
Early breakfast and head to Igongo Cultural Museum for a glimpse into the culture and history of the Ankole people. Check out the Nkwazi crafts shop, the Eclipse monument, the cultural village (Itaramiro), and the Mpororo Courts.

Day 14: Igongo Cultural Center – Entebbe Airport for departure
Breakfast and then head back to Entebbe depending on your flight back to you, you will be dropped off for your onward flight back home at the end of the 14 days at Uganda Cultural Safari.
