Itinerary 10 Day Best of Kenya Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your tour guide and transfer to your accommodation place. During your stay you can enjoy a private guided tour of the city which includes a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a pioneer in elephant rescue and rehabilitation, and the Karen Blixen Museum. Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Day 3: Game Safaris and Guided Nature Walk
This day will be spent on game safaris in the park. Amboseli sits on the lower slopes of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, whose peak lies across the border in Tanzania. Early in the morning, you may view the Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early morning. After the game drive, you will have a bush breakfast enjoying a full breakfast in the middle of the plains, surrounded by wildlife.
Return to camp for lunch, then set off for a Guided Nature Walk. Discover the medicinal uses of local plants and trees, identify insects and birds from industrious termites to colorful butterflies, and spot various bird species, and learn to read signs of wildlife activity, such as tracks and droppings. After the walk, return to camp. Accommodation and meals are at Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli.
Day 4: Flight to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
After breakfast, have a flight transfer from Amboseli To Nairobi and connect for another flight transfer From Nairobi To Lewa Wildlife Conservancy arriving in time for lunch. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its rhino population and conservation efforts.
The Conservancy supports a variety of animals, including antelope, giraffes, elephants, buffalos and other herbivores that upkeeps striking cheetahs, stealthy leopards, mighty lions, brutal wild dogs and other predators. Day 5: Lewa – Game Drive and Behind the Scenes Activity
Day 6: Lewa – Guided Bush Walk and Sundowner Experience.
After Breakfast, In the evening, head out on a Guided Bush Walk Experience where you will track wildlife on foot. This immersive experience allows you to discover the intricate details of the ecosystem, learning about the smaller creatures and plants that are often overlooked on traditional game drives. Return to the camp for relaxation and lunch.
In the evening, you will have a sundowner experiences in the Conservancy. As the golden sun begins its descent over the sprawling savannahs of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, the magical sundowner experience begins, offering a serene and unforgettable end to your day of adventure.
Your guide will take you to a carefully chosen spot with panoramic views of the conservancy. This location, often atop a hill or beside a picturesque waterhole, provides the perfect vantage point to witness the stunning African sunset. A selection of refreshing beverages awaits, from chilled wines and local beers to expertly mixed cocktails with snacks and canapés. Return to the Elewana Lewa Safari Camp
Day 7: To Masai Mara National – North Conservancy – Game Safari or Relaxation at Camp
After breakfast, you will be driven to Nanyuki Airport for your flight to the Masai Mara, where your camp guide will meet you. You’ll enjoy a game drive as you head to Elewana Sand River Masai Mara for some relaxation. Lunch will be served and thereafter you will head for an afternoon game drive.
This will give you a taste of the wildlife and landscapes and set the stage for more extensive exploration during your stay. Look out for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as other iconic species like giraffes, zebras, and cheetahs.
Note that Sand River Masai Mara is quite literally on the Migration route and offers chances to watch wildebeest and zebra crossing the Sand River from the comfort of your tent verandah.
Day 8: Mara North – Game Safari and Eco Camp Walk
Today you will head out for an early morning game drive in the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve.
